Practical inter-operation of CAD tools using a flexible procedural interface

This paper addresses the problem of semantic heterogeneity between data representations with particular emphasis on CAD tool data representations. The combination of powerful mapping operations and a flexible procedural interface are proposed as a possible solution to this problem. A practical application of the inter-operation of data representations is used to illustrate the techniques. The data representations used are the ICL COT data format and the TRACKER data format
