Abstract
The US Air Force Office of Scientific Research supports basic research in image fusion within several programs. These programs are presented in the context of Air Force technology needs for targeting, image exploitation, and autonomous systems. Programs include research involving human perception and neural processing in other biological systems, algorithms for fusion from multiple sources and platforms, and novel sensors. Available mechanisms far support of collaborative research are also presented.
