Abstract :
The influence of magnetic moment, coercivity and dimensions of magnet on the intensity and polarity of remanent magnetization in a rotating steel shaft were investigated. The unusual result stems from the availability of permanent magnets with high enough magnetic moment and coercivity. It was observed that the radial components of the dipole field were ified by the large associated demagnetization factor.
