Abstract :
Lake and watershed management information system (LWMIS) is related to many domains and disciplines of science and technology. This paper studies the geospatial data organization and analysis models for the implementation of the LWMIS, with an example of the development of digital Erhai lake. The key theoretical and technologic issues of the LWMIS are discussed in the paper firstly. Then the general concepts and logical relationship models of the LWMIS are outlined and defined, and the general technology structures of the LWMIS are also studied. Finally, some key issues of the implementation LWMIS are studied, it includes geospatial analysis model, the measurement and the demonstration of the digital topography in multiple scales, the submerge model of the lake watershed, and so forth.
