Abstract
Switch-mode power supplies (SMPS) are currently manufactured by interconnecting various discrete components. There are certain drawbacks with the discrete interconnection method and, as is the case with consumer electronics, functional blocks of a power converter must be constructed as a unit before improvements on various levels can be expected. This paper reports on the theoretical and experimental study of an integrated ceramic planar output filter. Experimental results and a modelling scheme which could be used to model integrated structures are presented
