Abstract :
A vector valued ΣΔ modulator is proposed for multi-input signal applications, such as color imaging. Traditional ΣΔ modulators can be modeled with a vector quantizer in 1-D signal space. The proposed ΣΔ modulator extends this concept to M-D vector space. An optimal noise shaping filter for the oversampled vector-valued ΣΔ modulator is considered. Simulation results verified the improvement provided by the proposed modulator
