Abstract
A problem with geolocation of a transmitter based on time difference of arrival measurements across a widely distributed receiver array is the association of time-of-arrival events with a single transmission. This is due to the possibility that some of the reception events correspond to some previous or subsequent transmission, or even that they correspond to a transmission from another source. In this paper we consider fast methods for screening out unfeasible associations based on the application of distance geometry in Minkowski space.
