Abstract :
Off-stoichiometric single crystal of Ni-Mn-Ga Heusler alloys which show ferromagnetic shape memory effect was studied. The observation of an intermartensitic phase in the sample just above room temperature was discussed. Measurements of the temperature dependence of the magnetization of the crystals were also performed to study the magnetic nature of the intermartensitic transition.
