Abstract :
Three dimensional reconstruction technique based on machine vision is applied more and more widely. The calibration technique for vision system is one of important term. There are many calibration methods available. The homography is introduced in the paper in order to adopt a simple and convenient method for calibration and computation of line-structured light vision system. Its calibration principle is described in detail. The calibration of an active vision system based on homography is also presented. Then, experiment has been done to verify the validity of the method. The method avoids directly calibrating the camera and the reconstruction does not need to know the intern and extern parameters of camera. Thus, the error source is reduced, the calculation is simplified and efficiency is improved.
