Abstract :
The validity of the maximum capacity criterion applied to realize high-rank line-of-sight (LoS) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels was investigated for high speed railway scenarios in this paper. Performance is evaluated with respect to ergodic capacity. Numerical results demonstrate that by simply adjusting antenna spacing as a function of the distance, the orientation, and the spacing of the arrays, significant capacity gains are achievable. And we find that lower displacement sensitive, comparing with some recent results. However, according to these results, the MIMO system performance is not optimal as we expected when the developed criterion is applied. So, a more thorough research for constructing high-rank LoS MIMO channels is needed in high speed railway communication system.
