Abstract
This paper shows a new kind of filtering front end for high sensitivity cryogenically cooled radio astronomy receivers. It shows a sophisticated combination of waveguide filter and vacuum window by using a thick ceramic window acting as waveguide resonator that matches the window to the surrounding waveguide structure and provides a selective input filter against unwanted signals.
