Abstract
The amplitude of vortex signal is proportional to the square of the flow rate. It is difficult to track the accurate flow signal from noises at low flow rate. A signal processing method based on flow momentum is introduced in this paper. A group of nonlinear filters with -40 dB/dec characteristics are designed to capture the slim vortex signal. This method is realized in combination with another simple comparator channel to process the signal over the whole dynamic range, which is tested to have high accuracy and fast response.
