Abstract :
This paper proposes a 1V-supply capacitor-array-based successive approximation ADC utilizing grounded analog switches and a switched operational amplifier implemented with standard CMOS devices. The ADC with a high resolution of 10-bit and a rail-to-rail input voltage range was designed and its operation was confirmed by SPICE simulation. The ADC achieved sampling rate of 800-ksps and power consumption of 0.22-mW at 1-V supply voltage.
