Abstract
The script language is a commonly used method to enhance flexibilities of a measurement application. This paper introduces four key procedures in adding a VBScript support to the measurement application that is developed by Visual C++. First, it introduces the main points of how to add a VBScript engine to the measurement application of Visual C++. Second, it shows the way of how to design a user-defined VBScript function by Visual C++. Third, it presents a method of how to pass an array to and from the user-defined function. Fourth, it talks the problem of how to exchange data between VBScript and the measurement application. At last of the paper, an example is given to show how to use the VBScript technique in the measurement application to enhance its function and to make it a programmable measurement platform.
