Abstract :
there are great differences in the operating mode of network coding opportunities routing protocols (NCOR) and traditional routing protocols of wireless mesh networks. It is required to simulate and analysis the network performance in condition of two protocols coexisting. This paper firstly describes the simulation method for wireless routing protocol in NS2, and then presents a multi-routing-protocol simulating framework extension of NS2 simulator in order to simulate the scene where a NCOR and a single path concurrently work. Through simulation experiments, the paper compares the performance under a single routing protocol and multi- routing protocol running separately. Additionally, NS2 wireless network topology settings and Trace file analysis methods are described also. The framework extension and the simulating results are helpful for the wireless mesh network performance simulation experiments in NS2 environment.
