The Constant Code-Rate Algorithm Research on Encoding Multiplexing Based on MPEG-2

MPEG-2 encoding multiplexer is the core for transmission in the digital TV system, owning to all programs, data and different value-added services are transmitted after packaged and multiplexed. Currently, only a few companies outside master the core algorithm technology and ensure that high quality images are transmitted. However, the imported equipment is extremely expensive and the algorithm is more complex, it can not guarantee that a simple implementation of hardware and software. This article uses a simple algorithm and completes the elementary Stream (ES) multiplexed into transport stream (TS).It describes the technology background of transport stream multiplexing, analyses the existing technology based on MPEG-2, discusses the methods for ES multiplexed to TS ,and especially involves one research to constant code-rate control based on TS multiplexing.
