Abstract :
The pilot design is one of key issues for non-continuous orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (NC-OFDM) systems in cognitive radios. A new design of the optimal pilot position and power allocation under a interference temperature constraint has been presented in this paper, the presented scheme minimizes the mean-square error(MSE) of the least squares(LS) channel estimate under a primary user(PU) interference temperature limit. Simulation results show that the PU interference temperature constraint can change the optimal pilot positions and power distribution.
