Abstract :
The ultrasonic level measurement technology is a technique developed for a tank gauge, but due to its complexity is limited in application. In view of the characteristics of the tank gauge, a new measuring approach is presented and an ultrasonic level measuring system is developed, the tests are also described. Through analyzing the test data, some conclusions are reached: the ultrasonic level measuring has high reliability, good stability and is intrinsically safe, but has shortcomings of poor accuracy and low resolution
