Abstract :
The integrity of oil pipeline is always a major concern to the operators and public, so the supervisory control and data acquisition system have become a essential part of modern long distance oil pipeline operations today. The general framework of the system is given and the fundamental of the statistical method of leak detection for oil pipeline is discussed. The function and structure of the supervisory control and data acquisition system based on PLCs and fiber optic communications are also designed
