Abstract :
Voltage control and reactive is an ancillary service needed for the reliable operation of power systems. This article discusses the technical advantages of the use of distributed generation (DG) for voltage support and reactive. It also suggests a dynamic model that allows studying incentive policies to increase GD installed in the Colombian power system.
