Abstract :
Current product definition in Product Lifecycle Management systems is done on the level of features. Feature modifies previous state of product model in a well defined way. Features defined on product are modified along contextual chains of feature parameters when situation or event change is recognized by experience and expertise based knowledge features. Features those drive event changes in product model represent only slight knowledge as a result of decision processes. Although optimizing algorithms and other methodologies can be included in product model, the way to decision can not be handled. This paper introduces a new contribution to situation based modeling on the way of changing human definition of product from the product feature and slight knowledge level to requested product behavior level. New model features and their contextual connections with features in the improved modeling are introduced. The reported work uses former results by the authors mainly at definition and relation of behavior features.
