Abstract
The paper proposes a full-bridge DC-DC power converter which uses a saturable reactor, instead of two additional switches, to achieve zero-voltage-switching. A small capacitor connected in series with the transformer primary reduces the current on the switches in the lagging leg. The operating modes of the power converter are identified and the design equations are given. Experimental results obtained on a 200 W power converter are also presented
