Abstract :
Axial force is one of the most important performance characters which determines pumps working reliably or not. A new axial force measurement sensor structure used in limited space in the pump is proposed. ANSYS is adopted to design the geometry parameters of the sensor structure, the suitable locations of the resistance strain gauges are determined, the strain corresponding to load is calculated and the ultimate value of stress is verified in this paper. The static calibration of the elastic element is carried out and the curve of the strain verifies the performance characters of the axial force measurement sensor. The results show that the designed sensor is valid and can satisfy the requirements of production.
