Abstract :
Securing wireless communication with resource-constrained devices is considered. A low-complexity method is proposed for periodically refreshing symmetric encryption keys between two communicating parties with low overheads on system resources. Coupling the method with stream-ciphers offers an attractive alternative to traditional security methods for wireless protocols such as ZigBee.
