Abstract
A novel left-handed metamaterials (LH MTM) is designed for antenna cover. Simulated by HFSS and MATLAB, it is shown that this LH MTM structure has multitude frequency bands (2-3.7GHz, 3.8-4.9GHz, 5-6.3GH and 7.2-10GHz) with the characteristics of negative permittivity and negative permeability. When the LH MTM cover is located above the antenna, the gains of antenna increase obviously and operating frequencies are shifted downwards slightly.
