Abstract :
Due to the sharp pulse generated by the time-domain impulse radar has widely instantaneous bandwidth, it is very difficult to achieve undistorted, low-loss and dispersion-free transmission by coaxial cable. With the technique of direct modulation and automatic power control of the analog optical transceiver module, a transmission system of the wideband RF signals over optical fibre is proposed in this subject. Test of the Gaussian pulses shows that, the impulse waveform has good shape retention.
