Abstract :
The paper introduces a new technique to incorporate lumped networks into TLM and FDTD methods by employing newly proposed passive discrete circuit models (PDCMs). In the proposed technique, full wave simulation is converted into simulation of lumped networks incorporating PDCMs. The PDCM significantly augments integration of complex linear/nonlinear lumped circuit models into TLM and FDTD methods. It also facilitates the passivity/stability analysis of the entire simulation algorithm. The paper also presents the passivity analysis procedure.
