Abstract :
A constructive procedure is proposed for multidimensional (nD) realization and linear fractional representation uncertainty modelling. The new realization procedure works on an nD rational matrix directly without transforming it to some nD polynomial matrices first. It is computationally more efficient and may lead to a lower order realization than existing algorithms. Furthermore, the new method is applicable to nD systems with either numerical or symbolic coefficients. Illustrative examples are presented to show the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed procedure.
