Highly nondegenerate four-wave mixing (NDFWM) is an important optical parametric process attracting increased current interest for applications in all-optical wavelength conversion in wavelength-division-multiplexed systems We report on ND-FWM in a semiconductor quantum well (QW) microcavity and its potential as a wavelength converter.
