Abstract :
When the system for monitoring communications satellite temporary business has been used in practice, due to the increase of the temporary business and the change of the data transfer require, many new problems has been risen. So monitoring efficiency, system independence, flexibility, commercial use and cost must be considered in system design. According to actual needs the system for monitoring the temporary business is designed, which can receive multi-channels at L band. Monitoring objects are the signals from two polarizations of C Band and Ku band. An L band spectrum analyzer, a single-pole four-switch and the software compose the monitoring system. The system is independence and just needs the L band signals from the antennas. The monitoring system considers two factors, which one is the possibility of the change at the center frequency and the carrier bandwidth of the temporary business, the other is the relative fixity of the band offered by the satellite operators for temporary business. Hence, the systems monitor the spectrum, record the data and match the plan by monitoring the total power of the spectrum at temporary band and considering carrier on/off time, center frequency, bandwidth compared with the transfer plan to decide the closest item in software. Monitoring and control system could implement multi-tasks when the monitoring is going on by using the models and the multithread. After one year trail run at a satellite monitoring center, the resolution of the temporary business can reach 90% and the time error is lesser than 10 s. The system can meet the needs of monitoring the temporary business passed by the satellite.
