Abstract
This paper presents a new technique for an automatic error correction in sigma-delta (ΣΔ) converters for the first time. Especially intended for the detection and correction of integrator gain-errors in cascaded continuous-time modulators, the technique can also be used to correct errors induced by finite opamp gain-bandwidth (GBW) and adopted for correction of the same errors in discrete-time, switched capacitor implementations.
