  • Abstract
    Individual subsystems and axial errors of the TCA2003 total station (TCA2003) are introduced. An ambient test with different compensator switch settings of TCA2003 was carried out in the cantilever construction of a long span bridge, to learn how much the compensator was subject to small disturbances from wind and vibrations in the kinematic mode (3 Hz data rate). It is found that the quality of the kinematic angle and distance measuring is more stable when the compensator is off. The compensator should be off to keep TCA2003 subject to the vibration girder in the united fabrication survey process.
