Abstract :
In this paper, a medium power TPS (Telecommunication Power Supply) is designed in DCM (Discontinuous Conduction Mode) using a series combination of IPQCs (Improved Power Quality Converters) namely boost full bridge DC-DC converters with the diode bridge rectifiers at the front end. The series connection of these IPQCs is used to increase the rating of TPS as well as to balance the input three-phase AC currents. The neural network controller is used for output DC voltage regulation of the proposed power supply. A dynamic model is also developed to simulate its performance and confirm the design of the proposed TPS within the power quality norms.
