Abstract :
Summary form only given. In conclusion, we have demonstrated the first, to our knowledge, error-free transmission experiments over 102.5 km of standard fiber using a 1.3-/spl mu/m electroabsorption modulated laser (EML) device, Raman optical amplifier, and a moduled HBT receiver at 10 Gbit/s.
