Abstract
Summary form only given. We have demonstrated hybrid mode-locking of a 33-GHz multisection semiconductor laser by subharmonic modulation for the first time, to our knowledge. We believe this subharmonic hybrid mode-locking technique will be very important for optical generation and control of mm-wave signals.
