  • Abstract
With the highly rapid increase of information, due to the development of massive application system, more and more people have an urgent need for a simple and rapid technology to integrate data which are stored in various data sources. The integration of heterogeneous data sources has become a central problem of modern computing. According to analyzing and researching general methodologies for heterogeneous data integration, a framework for heterogeneous data integration is outlined. The framework based on XML, which are becoming the foundation of electronic publishing, business and application development, is divided into three main categories-XML schema integration phase, querying phase and result integration. XML schema integration phase can generate a global XML schema, which is a view of various data sources, by integrating automatically local XML schema which is generate by local XQuery input by user. Querying phase queries on the view of global XML schema, and query result is displayed by result integration after solving the data conflict.
