Abstract
Wind power is gaining popularity as fastest growing technologies in this world as recent progress in wind technology has led to cost reduction in par with conventional methods of electricity generation. Hybrid system is popular in Standalone operation due to intermittency of wind. Control scheme of a direct driven PMSG along with a diesel generator is proposed in the paper using back to back PWM converters and FLC based pitch angle control and is effectively modeled in MATLAB simulink. The results obtained adhered to stringent power quality standards.
