Abstract
Summary form only given. To increase the optical frequency comb generator (OFCG) span, we applied self phase-modulation (SPM) in optical fiber to the output of the OFCG. Since the comb generated by OFCG forms a short pulse train whose repetition rate is determined by the modulation frequency, the spectral broadening of the pulse train is equivalent to additional generation of equally spaced sidebands.
