Abstract
In this work, the current division technique is applied to active RC filter design to reduce the capacitance. A fourth order Butterworth active RC filter with a nominal cutoff frequency of 20 kHz is designed in a 0.35 μm CMOS technology. The capacitance can be reduced by a factor of 62.5 after using the current division technique.
