Abstract :
Owing to the significant advantages of linear transformer driver (LTD) technology, it becomes an advanced pulsed power technology for the construct of high-voltage, high-current pulsed-power accelerators. One of the most difficulties of implementation of LTD is required triggering all the switches in the cavities synchronously with the arrival of the electromagnetic pulse propagating downstream. However currently available trigger technologies are hard to achieve the stringent demands on the cavity-triggering sequences. In this paper, a self-trigger LTD technology which is based on the principle of electromagnet induction is proposed.
