Abstract :
According to the scratch defection of battery is caused by the manufacturing process and other causal factors during product, the paper proposes a method for battery surface defects detection based on machine vision. In order to obtain high-quality picture of the battery, the detection system using CMOS industrial cameras, and ring light source is designed and used; with the use of segmentation algorithm based on Canny edge defects, surface defects on the surface of battery cathode, and the scratch defection is defected through the calculation of scratch defects. It is found that the method of using a ring light source for imaging the battery cathode and through the scratch defect segmentation and extraction, the scratch defect Inspection is realized better.
