Abstract :
Summary form only given. A superbroadband output continuum is actually a combination of hundreds of independent spectrally narrow laser lines. The superbroadband solid state laser (SSSL) overall output radiation has a spatially spread "rainbow" spectrum divergent in the horizontal plane, so that each narrow line laser has its own angular direction. The important feature of the nanosecond SSSL output is a simultaneous oscillation of the radiation with different wavelengths. In the SSSL experimental mock-up the time delay between the short wavelength component of the tuning and the central one was found to reduce by increasing the pump energy.
