Abstract :
A new watermarking approach based on discrete cosine transform (DCT) for digital images is proposed. A reference image is established from the cover image using the user-key. Then, a shadow watermark is created from this reference image and the original watermark. The proposed scheme embeds this shadow watermark into the cover image in the DCT domain to secure the secret content of the original watermark. To reveal the real watermark, the correct keys are required.
