Abstract :
A fuzzy logic based algorithm for handover decision is presented in the paper. Traditional handover algorithm uses received signal strength for handover decision. This algorithm considers MS speed, distance to BS and cell traffic in multiple modules during handover decision process based on fuzzy logic. Performance of proposed algorithm in terms of call dropping probability and handover numbers is simulated in a comprehensive MC-CDMA system platform.
