Abstract :
A chip block interleaver/de-interleaver pair is applied to a chaos-based delay locked code tracking loop in a wireless channel which is corrupted by noise and multipath Rayleigh distributed fading. To gauge the performance improvement caused by the interleaver/de-interleaver pair, a new approach which is rooted in the statistical characterisation of the chaotic spreading code correlation function is used. It has been shown that chip interleaving improves the system performance and this improvement is verified by the close agreement of theoretical expressions and simulation results.
