  • Abstract
    Summary form only given. In conclusion, we have grown large, high-quality lithium tetraborate (Li/sub 2/B/sub 4/O/sub 7/) crystals, and have found that LBO can be applied for ultraviolet frequency conversion. We also demonstrated the fifth harmonic of a Nd:YAG laser with 0.7 W average power.
