Abstract
Summary form only given. In this paper we present the fabrication and measurement of the first three bit optical fiber Bragg grating true time delay (TTD) delay line capable of producing time delays of the order of 10 ps. This delay line is suitable for beamforming control at RF frequencies up to 2.8 GHz. A fiber Bragg grating delay line, containing eight gratings, was fabricated in boron germania codoped single-mode fiber.
