Abstract
Summary form only given. In the present work we study electronic excitation migration in yttrium scandium gallium garnet (YSGG) laser crystals doped with Er, Tm, and Ho by the light-induced-grating (LIG) technique. The results of the LIG study were confirmed in a luminescence kinetics experiment, when we resonantly excited Tm ions with short pulses of Er laser light and registered Ho and Tm luminescence kinetics.
