Abstract
This paper describes an algorithm used to simulate transient behavior of a dipolar bead in an electrophoretic spherical cavity. The model includes consideration of form drag and viscous damping, both corrected for wall effects, and a particle simulation model of the bipolar ions in the cavity. Field solution uses the boundary integral equation method. Several levels of approximation are implemented to expedite the overall computation. A consistent set of results is presented to describe the accuracy of the simulation.
