            Abstract : 
From 2001, a high-tech program named "FuTure" has been launched for developing the future mobile communications systems in China. The State Key Lab. of Millimeter Waves (SKLMMW) in Southeast University was supported by the "FuTure" program to develop a MIMO system which has been considered as one of the most potential technology for 4G mobile communications (GJ Foschini, 1996) (ZD Wang and GB Giannakis, 2000) (A Paulraj, 1997, 1999) (M Shafi, et al, 2003) In this paper we give a brief introduction to the research progress on the MIMO technology in SKLMMW.
